## Access and pricing

- Free, no key: https://airoboticsdirectory.com/api/v1/sample (same shapes as the paid endpoints, limited to nvidia, tesla, intuitive-surgical and a few places or rows), https://airoboticsdirectory.com/api/v1/companies and the open data files under https://airoboticsdirectory.com/data/.
- Paid: about $0.01 USDC per call via x402 (HTTP 402 Payment Required) or an X-API-Key header. Paid access is coming soon; until then paid endpoints return 503 with links to the free sample.
- Free API endpoints and free MCP calls are rate limited to about 60 requests per minute per IP (HTTP 429 with Retry-After).

- GET /api/v1 [free]: API index: endpoints, pricing and payment status.
- GET /api/v1/openapi.json [free]: OpenAPI 3.1 specification.
- GET /api/v1/companies [free]: All companies with slug, name, category, ticker and listing status.
- GET /api/v1/sample [free]: Free samples with the same response shapes as the paid endpoints, limited to nvidia, tesla, intuitive-surgical, BOTZ, the places waymo-robotaxi-denver, computer-history-museum-ai-robotics-gallery, automate, or 5 rows.
- GET /api/v1/companies/{slug} [paid]: Company snapshot: description, facts with source URLs and as-of dates, ETF membership, recent SEC filings and the latest Mention Index stats.
- GET /api/v1/mentions/{slug} [paid]: Full Mention Index history: every counted SEC filing with word count, raw counts, rate per 10,000 words and change vs the prior comparable filing.
- GET /api/v1/mentions?sort=rate|change&group=ai|robots|physical&limit= [paid]: Mention Index leaderboard, ranked by latest rate or by change.
- GET /api/v1/changes?companies=a,b,c&since=YYYY-MM-DD [paid]: New SEC filings and new Mention Index filings since a date.
- GET /api/v1/etfs/{ticker} [paid]: Holdings of a tracked ETF: directory companies with weights, top holdings, as-of date and issuer source file.
- GET /api/v1/exposure/{slug} [paid]: Which tracked ETFs hold a company, with weights and as-of dates.
- GET /api/v1/screen?category=&listed=&etf=&theme=&min_rate=&rising=true&group= [paid]: Screen companies by category, listing status, ETF, theme, minimum mention rate or rising mentions.
- GET /api/v1/places?near=lat,lng&radius_km=&type=&country=&limit= [paid]: Public places where robotics and AI can be seen in person. near sorts by straight-line distance (radius_km default 100); type is one of robotaxi, restaurant, museum, showroom, factory-tour, delivery-robots, event; country is a name or ISO code.
- GET /api/v1/places/{slug} [paid]: One place: what you can see, address, coordinates and precision, website/booking URL, cost, access notes, event timing, related companies, source URLs and last verified date.
